MedPress Publications is an independent, open-access publisher committed to disseminating high-quality scholarly research to the global academic community without barriers. We believe that research should be freely accessible to accelerate scientific discovery and collaboration.

At MedPress Publications, we adhere to a strict Open Access model, meaning all articles we publish are immediately and permanently accessible online without any subscription fees.

To maintain our commitment to immediate and free global access, MedPress Publications is entirely self-funded. We do not receive external cash or grants from any agencies and rely purely on our own resources to operate.Article Processing Charges (APCs) are our primary revenue source. These charges directly support the extensive work involved in professional publishing, including:

  1. Editorial Triage and Management
  2. Peer Review Coordination and Administration
  3. Professional Copyediting and Formatting
  4. XML/HTML and PDF File Conversion
  5. Website Hosting and Permanent Archiving
  6. Marketing and Dissemination of Published Articles
What Open Access Means for You:
  • Free Access: Readers/users may download, share, circulate, print, and distribute the text, photographs, and information for fair academic use.
  • Unfettered Use: You do not need to seek permission from the author to use the material, as long as the author is properly credited.
  • Global Impact: Your research will have maximum visibility, reaching scholars, educators, policymakers, and the public worldwide.

The APC for a submission is determined based on the journal's financial needs and the prevailing country's economic situation.
